Tools and Skills

How BenchOS supports interactive molecular biology tools and reusable agentic skills that can also run from the CLI.

Interactive tools make scientific work tangible

BenchOS can provide interactive tools for molecular biology tasks that benefit from visual state, structured inputs, and immediate feedback instead of static text alone.

Tools can help with planning, calculations, analysis, design, and visual checks.
Outputs can become records, notebook content, or reusable project context.
Scientists can inspect and adjust the work in a live interface.

Skills make repeatable work reliable

Some workflows should be captured as reusable skills so Benchmate can run them consistently. Skills can encode expected inputs, constraints, and deterministic procedures.

Skills can run from the CLI

Tools and skills do not have to live only in the browser. They can also be harnessed as agentic skills from the command line, which makes repeatable scientific workflows easier to automate and verify.
